She stood alone, standing in the alley between two buildings in Kyoto, the place that she called home. She was in her human form, and she stood silently, watching as others went about their daily business, nobody looking over at the sinister woman in the alley. When talking with others, she put up a front, made it look like she was little miss innocent, in fact, she was the exact opposite. A sinister and dark creature, she normally stalked the streets at night, but decided to go out during the day for once. The wilderness around Kyoto normally served as her hunting grounds, when she picked off children and adults alike in her animal form when they stumbled too far away from Kyoto.
And everyone thought it was just a rogue tiger.
She let out a small laugh and stepped onto the bright street. She looked like an ordinary Japanese woman, her only striking feature a large scar over her eye. She longed for something to do, longed for some entertainment, but she was determined to stay away from the wilderness today, she felt like blending in with others.
Who knows, it may lead her to meet someone...though whether that would be a good thing for the other party, well, only time would tell.
I must be strong, if I pick off too many wanderers at once, then people will get suspicious. I need to lay low for a while, I can't become my tiger form for a good few days, more and more hunters have been entering the wild...it's not longer safe. she thought as she continued wandering the streets, thinking about what she could do.

Suiko Tokoshima Suiko was technically in the old capital to help with the set-up of another branch of the charity group she worked for, however, she was currently using the trip as the perfect excuse to shop and poke around lore shops catering to curious tourists. Of course all she had found in lore was cheap tales that she'd already heard a million times. Either ancient legends or crappy urban ones with boring threads of truth behind them.
She rollerbladed down a sidewalk with a backpack full of goodies slung over her back and a stick of strawberry pocky in her mouth. She was glancing around at the people that she weaved to avoid while also scanning store fronts and street vendors. Then suddenly a chill ran down her back. She skidded to a hault, then moved out of the way of foot traffic to try and figure out what had caught her attention. There had only been a few times in her life when she'd felt something like that and even then she never really found the source except for that one shrine at a battlefield that was just a little too unsettled. She had never gone back there. So what was it she was looking for now? Sure Kyoto was a city fertilized by bloodshed, but she'd been here many times. It wasn't the place, unless something had changed in one of the buildings she was in front of. She eyed them, then stepped into one store that sold prints and pieces of historical artwork. The images were lovely, but no, it wasn't here. So she skated back out. Whatever it was, it wasn't residual.
Suiko skated down to cross the street to a cafe where she could watch the street where she had been under the guise of having a lovely strawberry and green tea smoothie.
