Name: Rapture Deceive
Nickname: Rapture
Gender: Male
Race: Halfling Vampire
Age: Young Adult
Season: Winter
Element/Powers: Water/Ice//Basic: Emotion Emphasis// Advanced: Thought Erase
Alignment: Unseelie
Animal Form: Maned Wolf
Animal Form Description:
A Maned Wolf is simply a bigger version of a fox. He has long, slender muscled legs that are built for speed and wandering over tall grasses. He has a spiky mane that goes back, like all Maned Wolves and his tail is just as puffy as any fox. His snout is exceptionally long, hiding dagger-like teeth underneath. The one thing that makes him unlike as Maned Wolf: instead of having the characteristic markings of a fox, he's the opposite. His main coat color is black; pitch black. He has dark red socks and underbelly. The end of his tail is mostly white but has strands of red in it. It looks like it's made of blue fire. As for his eyes; they are an icy blue, almost white. He has the eyes of a human...and all the cunning of one, too.
Fae Form Description:
Rapture is around 6'6, quite tall, even for a fae. His hair only adds to his height. It's naturally spiky and is dark red with strands of brown and black. In honest truth, it looks like dried blood; if dried blood could have a metallic shine to it and be as soft and flexible as his hair is. His skin isn't pale, but it isn't tan either. He's a little in between, and in honest truth, he has no freckles whatsoever. Being a halfling vampire, he burns quite easily. This is one of the reasons he really is never tan or pale. He can't get pale because he does in fact enjoy daylight hours, but he can't ever get tan because he simply can't; he immediately starts burning. Luckily, he's adopted the human technique to avoid these problems that we like to call sunscreen. High sunscreen at that! He also has incredibly sharp canines that aren't too different from the teeth he has in his animal form. His eyes are a very pale blue that look almost white. He also has no whites in his eyes.
Human Form Description:
Human form for him isn't so different than Fae form. This is partially because it's a little more difficult for him to use glamour, being only half-vampire, and also because he as quite a few human looks being half mortal. For one, his eyes are the biggest problem. With no whites and an unnatural pale blue, he'll glamour these to have whites and be a little bit of a darker shade. Everything else on him is pretty normal, except for his unerring grace, speed, and tendency to leave people feeling blank, empty, or extreme. He has the same spiky red hair, 6'6 height, and normal skin tone. Anyways, changing his eyes is about all he can manage to do, although he occasionally changes his hair color to black so that he'll blend in in the night more.
Personality:
It seems that the gene pool spent all his good qualities on looks. Rapture is, in all truths, violent. If hot headed isn't enough, the next step up would be savage. He can never seem to hold his tongue and his emotions are always boiling over the top. This might be why his presence emphasizes the emotions of those around, too. It's hard working with him because not only is he smart, but loves to disagree with whatever you say. It's hard for him to make friends for this reason. The only time he'll actually listen to someone is if that person wins a fight with him or if he really respects that person (which is really rare). In a lot of ways, Rapture is like a wild animal, unable of being tamed or broken. He does have his silent periods when necessary, but if he is being silent, it'd be best to watch out because that just means you don't know what he's thinking. However, you will know that whatever he's thinking isn't going to be good. Beware of Rapture. He's dangerous.
History:
Rapture's mother was a mortal who was raped by his unseelie father. When he was born the father came and took him from the mother and brought him to the faery realm. He had been hoping to break Rapture into obeying him. His father saw halflings as dangerous, yes, but lesser creatures than faes. So Rapture grew up in the deserted, barren lands of the faery realm under the strict hand and law of his father.
His father was a cruel man and would beat up Rapture for little reason or none at all. The halfling grew up like a sapling that's been purposefully twisted. He exhibited all the behavior of a dog that's been abused. He became angry, defensive, and violent. It was all the things that his father had hoped for. However, the man hadn't counted on Rapture disobeying him. This arrogance led to his death when Rapture was mid-way through his adolescent years. He boiled over the top and attacked him, getting revenge for all the awful years of his young life.
Afterward, Rapture began traveling the mountains, avoiding faes as best he could. Then one day, during a savage snowstorm, he was forced into one of the many caves that dot the Highlands. Her is where he met a high ranked unseelie fae of a rebel force. The fae saw him as a human might see a rabid animal. Rapture was thrown in a cell immediately.
When the snowstorm ended, he was still kept there. He became agitated and more agitated as the days wore on and became more ragged than ever, deprived of all the basic necessities: Food, water...blood. Worst of all, no one ever came down to his lonely keeping place in the mountain. Until one day.
A fae even more important than the one who'd put him there came down one day. He examined Rapture's state and questioned him a bit. In the end he made a deal with the halfling. If the unseelie fae let him go, Rapture would stick around and help them fight and spy on the seelie. Rapture willingly agreed. As soon as he was unlocked though he made a run for it. Immediately the fae attacked him, easily gaining the upper hand. Rapture tried many more escape moves in the next few years, but each time he was beaten by that same fae. Finally, he came under the unseelie's rule and joined his branch of the rebel groups against the seelie.
Rapture never got along with the his peers, but he still rose quickly. He had a very temperamental personality, but he still had all the other skills of being a very good soldier and spy. Eventually he came to be the commanders first choice to go on solo missions and spy. Rapture's first goal was achieved, now he's working on his second goal. He wants to be treated like any other fae. The others think of him as incredibly frightening and dangerous and avoid him. He doesn't mind that so much as them also thinking of him as something less than. He's still trying to accomplish this.
