((attempting to continue where we left off...)) Ahren Aspenn Emberrosa
As the rain poured down around the injured chimera and Adalyn, he concentrated on complying to her request that he take human or fae form. He managed it, but felt it faltering. He removed the navy windbreaker coat he had been wearing and draped it around her.
"The name is Ahren," he said simply. "Might you have space under the bed for a tabby to hide for a night?" he asked as he walked beside her, letting her lead the way toward her abode. He bunched his shirt and pressed it hard against the large gash in his stomach area, trying to at least help the bleeding to stop. The rain actually helped, washing away infection, but he would need time to sleep off the worst of it. Already he was feeling the weight of strain he was taking to walk her home.
In fact, they made it a block before instinct took over, changing him on the spot from man to cat. At least he managed to form the orange tabby out of himself before the cat collapsed then and there. The rain again helped by washing the crimson out of his pelt. It wasn't flowing nearly as badly as before, but with the fur and the smaller body, one couldn't really tell how bad the injury was.
ooc: 218. This blows compared to my reply before the glitch, but then again this is probably better, leaving most of the gore out of it this time around. I remember her having the dog, that might make it a bit interesting in the next scene. Dogs always seem to know when something's weird.

[OOC: Yet I still managed to beat you!]Adalyn's hair was now soaked from the downpour of freezing cold rain. Her eyes moved back to look at Aaron, as he said his name. She smiled beautifully, and looked forward once more as he questioned whether he could stay there for the night. She sighed, a bit shaken after the previous incident, and wondered whether Rebecca would mind. Why would she? It's not like she was bringing in a human being, this was a harmed little tabby cat. That is, if this fae could make himself tiny.
Cars zoomed past them, and Adalyn's shoes were soggy from soaking up water off the pavement. Adalyn's head shot upward when she realized that they were nearing her house. She threw her hands back to reach for her...bag? Where was her bag? Dammit, she though. She must've dropped it somewhere back in the ally. With an irritated sigh, she thought up an explanation that went with the cat story. Hopefully the Monties wouldn't find it too suspicious, and believe her. Besides, she wasn't known for one to lie about anything.
A dirt road cut in out of nowhere, in the middle of a patch of grass. It led back into woods, not very large and the trees were mostly far apart. Dead pine needles flooded the ground, as she continued walking along the little dirt path. She could see the house from here, as it was almost like a modern cottage. She looked down to notice that Aaron wasn't there! Her head looked back and forth, and she saw him along the dirt path back where they had been. She ran up to him, and scooped him in her arms. Once in her arms, she rushed him up to the house and got a frightened look on her. Since the incident, her face had been relieved since she was saved, but she would have to put on a disoriented grimace in order to hold the entire effect of a wounded cat. She did love animals, a lot, and if that's what really happened, sure as hell that's what she'd be doing.
A thought crossed Adalyn's mind of the reaction of her own dog. Sure he'd want to attack a cat, but maybe a sense would hit his mind that something was wrong? Perhaps they could just lock him in the other room if he was too much of a hassle. Another thought crossed her mind. Hopefully Rebecca would let Aaron sleep in Adalyn's room. It would be a disaster if they tried to get away with him staying anywhere else, or even letting him go. No, Rebecca was smarter than to let a wounded animal go before she knew that it was alright. A sigh only partially relieved her worries, especially the ones of them believing her story. At least she was saved before something fatal had happened. Then it woudln't matter if they believed her or not, if she was pregnant...she was. Joy filled her heart when she remembered that they never got that far. That was the hope that she could keep in her mind; knowing that nothing had gone too out of control. Except of course, Aaron killing most of them, but that was beside the point.
Adalyn reached the house and she waited only a moment before digging into her pocket for the house key. She shoved it in the keyhole and twisted it around, pushing the door open and hustling in the living room. George sat on the sofa, reading the newspaper, and Rebecca was working in the kitchen, most likely making dinner. All of her commosion barey disturbed the two adults, so George just said in his normal tone, "Good afternoon, Adalyn, or should I say evening. What took you.." Then when he glanced up to look at her, the newspaper fell to the floor and he jumped up, rushing to her side.
He asked in a nervous tone, "Wha-what happened?!" He obviously didn't realize he was yelling, because he almost was beyond that! Rebecca rushed into the kitchen, "What is going on here? OH MY GOD!" The bowl she was holding clattered to the floor, and she darted over next to Adalyn and stroked Aaron's head softly. "Where did you find this cat?" she asked calmly, trying to keep soothing as to not frighten herself. Adalyn gulped nervously, knowing that she would be half lying if she told them what she planned to. She answered hesitantly, "Well, I was walking home and then I saw this hurt cat lying on the ground, and since it was raining that's why it took so long to get home."
Rebecca sighed, and looked around. Before nodding to Adalyn to just stay there continuing to hold the cat (since it was his only protection from the dog), she headed to the powder room to get some materials. It seemed like forever that Rebecca was in there, so Adalyn rocked Aaron in her arms until she got back with some medicine and a cloth bandage. She told George to get a blanket and put it on the floor so Adalyn could put him on it while Rebecca treated him, and to make sure he locked the dog up in another room. It didn't take that long before everything was all situated and Adalyn sat attentively at Rebecca's side, waiting for her to be finished.
Rebecca first sedated Aaron, just to make sure he was fully asleep so she wouldn't hurt him. Then she sterilized her hands, along with slipping on some clear, alastic gloves. She poured out an even amount of medicine (which was actually just liquid she used to clean the wound) and evenly distributed it across the huge wound. She waited a few moments for it to settle in, and she grabbed a needle and inserted the antibiotics into Aaron. "To prevent infection." She quickly explained, and then got back to grabbing the cloth bandage. She asked Adalyn to lift the body, and Rebecca wrapped it tightly around the fragile body of the cat.
Adalyn worried briefly if it would stretch if he decided to turn back into his fae form at some point. She somehow managed to shake it out of her mind, and watched carefully as Rebecca propped Aaron on her leg. She whispered soothingly to him, which Adalyn had no idea what she was saying. She stroked his head with two fingers, and then searched around for any sign of a collar ever being on him. "Must've been a stray," she said, "Hold him while I fetch up some homemade cat food. I'll probly just throw some tuna and something together." Adalyn grimaced, hoping she wouldn't give him cat food. Since she was human, she was unsure of whether fae's could eat what their animal form ate without puking. She guessed that would have to be something she would find out, and she had a feeling that he would be there a lot longer than one night. Rebecca came out with the food, and handed to Adalyn, telling her to take him to her room and wait till he woke up; then feed him.
Adalyn nodded and scooped Aaron in her arms again, fleaing upstairs and setting him down on her bed. She was surprised that Rebecca didn't even think of the possibility that he was a fae, but she supposed it didn't matter. Laying on her stomach, she grabbed a book from her shelf and began reading while she waited for Aaron to wake up. [/blockquote]
