Rules: Mortal/Human Characters

[/b]. All humans are said to have hidden psychic potential. However their ability to use them are of course limited greatly. Rarely do any become masters of an ability. It is possible for a mortal to come packaged with many of the listed abilities, however those individuals will ALWAYS come with a high quirk level. For example, such individuals may find that they easily become ill, they have mental issues, they are catalysts for chaos around others, and or they seem to have little control over the paths their lives take. Some choose to hide from everyone, some try to 'lock it away' and medicate themselves, others try to train it to be useful at the risk of being ostracized by society. Those who train their abilities up the risk of odd illnesses, sometimes even to the point of life-threatening ones developing. Therefore, serious magickal ability use by human characters comes with a MASSIVE warning label.

Common Human Abilities

Aura Sight - Can see the auras of others.
Divination - The use of runes, cards, coins, crystals, or other objects to obtain information. How detailed depends on the user.
Empathy - The ability to sense the emotions of others
Clairvoyance or Clairaudience - The ability to see or hear spirits, etc. This DOES extend to Fae!
Horsing - Shaman term for one who can be possessed by spirits.
Premonition - The ability to predict the future.
Psychometry - The ability to sense an object's history, either by vision or sound.
Telepathy - The ability to send and receive mental messages.
Spellcasting - The ability to manifest a desire using tools to focus willpower.

(2) Turning into Fae. Some legends speak of instant passage from an adult mortal to an adult fae upon death of the mortal. Others speak of humans that die amongst the fae that are then reborn into fae forms. Any human who enters the Faery Realm either by accident, intention, or force, becomes subject to this, as well as those mortals who associate with the fae.

(3) Knowledge on Fae. The general public considers the fae to be a myth. Food for Disney and other movie makers. A few say they can see fae, everywhere! Those few are seen as delusional, new-age fluff bunnies and freaks, or simply frauds out to find fame out of a good hoax. There are a few places in the Mortal Realm where this is NOT the case and everyone knows there's more than humans walking the streets. These places are few, hard to find, and even harder to get into as they are mystically guarded for the general protection of all who enter.

(4) Interactions with Fae. Humans have just as much ability to interact with a fae as they do in interacting with one another. They can party together. They can marry. They can even mate and have half-ling children! The children will be one of those born with baggage under the magick warning label that comes with humans. They'll be sturdier, but they'll also be more obvious to humanity therefore parents may wish to hide them from plain sight or raise them in a tolerant area.[/size][/ul][/ul]
