Name: Krisstaerynn Rohwyn
Nickname: Kriss
Gender: Male
Race: Fae
Age: 102 young adult, appears 16-19
Season: Spring
Element/Powers: Water and Earth / Empathy, Shifting: Dual Forms, Plant growth
Alignment: Seelie
Animal Form: Brook Trout, Elk Stag
Animal Form Description: Ordinary brown river trout and an ordinary buckskin elk stag that loses his antlers in the winter.
Fae Form Description: In his water based form, he can become a river merman with a brownish tail dappled with white spots. His hair in this form is long dark chocolate with platinum streaks. His eyes are blue-green like algae. In his land form, his hair is a lighter buck brown with blond highlights, but still long and wavy. His eyes are a mossy green in this form. In both forms, his skin is pale and freckled, though seems rainbow-iridescent silver in the water form.
Human Form Description: His human form has light brown to dirty blond hair that is trimmed neatly to layer from his ears to his shoulders. His eyes are a deep teal that sometimes shines bright blue in sunlight. His skin is again pale and covered in freckles. Height is a meager 5'8 in all three forms. He hates being short, but knows that it's only due to him still being a Fey young adult. Weight is a lean 120lbs.
Personality: Kriss is bright and cheerful most of the time. He tries to infect others with that cheer that bubbles from him naturally. He loves nothing more than to play games in a meadow or the forest, etc. However, now that he is becoming older, he is starting to feel the weight of responsibility that comes with adulthood. Anymore, he has moments when he become just as dark and grim as everyone else, however, he tries hard never to show his darker emotions. Keeping the secret of what he is has taught him that well as he's played with human children who ask far too many questions and see things far too clearly and easily. Even while playing page now for his home's ruling Lord, Cael D'thurr, Kriss does almost every task with a faint smile upon his face, even when he isn't so happy. Just as his career is starting it's beginnings in court duties, his soul is beginning to long for more than just rolls through the grass. Still pure though having passed the age of puberty years ago, this fae male is beginning to hear the call of the Wild Hunt. His problem is that he fears his yearning just as much as he wants to break loose and lose himself in the Hunt.
History: Kriss was born to Lady Rhynna Rivyra and Bronson Rohwyn, a Spring Court knight and the best friend of the elusive Cael D'thurr. Cael had been jealous that Bronson had managed to win the heart of Lady Rhynna instead of him, however he never held it against either of them. Instead, when he left to form an estranged lower court out in a wooded wonderland int he wilds, with an alternate court located in a quaint nook in Ireland, Cael invited the newly weds to come with him. They did and became Count and Countess. Kriss was, soon after, born in the feary realm side of Cael's new Dominion, as the lesser faery courts are known. Kriss spent his childhood in a Whispering Wood brook that fed a small lake that had been sculpted within the forest dominion. Kriss was a happy little kid who had just as much fun in the water as a tiny fry as he did on the land as a fawn. He knew early on, he was a little different from his playmates, having two baby forms as he did. It was a rare occurrence that happened when a land-based fae and a water-based fae had children.
When Kriss grew of age to truly shift into a human-like form, it wasn't surprising that he had two of these too. However, the water version is only used when he spends time with his mother in the water. The other cool part about coming of age was his parents finally letting him see the human world they often spoke of. When he first set eyes on the village Cael ruled over in Ireland, and the people, particularly the children, that lived there, he fell in love with it. Kriss learned the hard way very quickly what happens when one stays in the human world too long. That still didn't keep him from spending as much time there as he could. Eventually, he learned to spend his days in Ireland and his nights in the Whispering Wood. For most of the past fifty years, Kriss has played a little boy who slowly grew up once a generation, only to return a little while later to do it all again.
There was one decade in the 70s when Kriss failed to show up in Ireland. That was hen his father fell in a battle protecting Cael from a group of Unseelie that had been after Cael's throat for centuries. The entire dominion mourned while honoring Kriss's father for giving his life to save Cael's. Kriss was at a loss of what to do for quite some time until Cael asked the boy to go play with the Irish children to start the steps needed to someday take his father's sword and place by Cael's side. Kriss agreed and finally returned to his usual gimics until the last round when frivalties with one of his young human friends stirred something foreign in Kriss. He helped to pave the way for her to return home with her parents, as she had been spending summers in Ireland with her uncle. Then, when the girl was home, the uncle was informed that it was a wise idea to relent to letting the girl stay in America with her parents as she finished growing up. With that taken care of, Kriss was summoned to Cael's castle where he became the Pageboy he is today, still working towards being knighted, which he expects to come soon.
Kriss's mother Rhynna, now titled the River Countess remains a widow to this day. Despite occasional evenings when the pain becomes unbearable with Cael, allowing him to woo and court her as he did long ago, Rhyanna stays loyal in her heart to her late husband while harboring hope of perhaps locating his reincarnation at some point. That, of course, doesn't mean that Kriss doesn't use his influence to help rally the dominion to urge his mother to stop running from Cael.
Additional: Expect to see this character only in Ireland, the Whispering Wood, and occasionally the Spring Court.
